If you’re Bored, Find Yourself a Lover

Sometimes our lives seem to be in a rut. Having the same job for a few years, same relationship, same friends and same activities. Boredom can start to take over our lives and make us feel like something is missing. Well, no need to be bored anymore. Today I’ll give you the best advice I’ve gotten in years: “If you’re bored, find yourself a lover.”

What is a lover exactly?  A lover is a person who is in love with another, a person who has a strong enjoyment or liking for something; someone who loves, especially a person who has or shows a warm and general affectionate regard for others. A lover is also defined as a person who has a sexual or romantic relationship with another.

If we think about it, we are all lovers and we all want one too. But it is true that sometimes we can find ourselves in the low. Maybe you’re having a rough time at work, you just ended a relationship, you’re jaded and are not happy with your current life. Whatever the reason, you are bored. The solution: get yourself a lover.

You might wonder how you can accomplish this task. It is not as hard as it sounds; you just need to get a new hobby. Yes, when we say get a lover we mean get a hobby. Find your passion or get a new one if you have already found it.

Step out of your box; try new things until you find an activity you like. Travel, get your palm read, visit a mind reader, go kayaking, take up biking, hike, visit the rainforest, join a charity, learn to meditate, do Tai Chi or turn into a Yogi. Visit international restaurants, go to museums and art exhibitions, get a certification in something and start practicing.

The key is to try new things until you fall in love with yourself again. Have fun, get to know yourself better, learn new things, make new friends. Turn yourself into your perfect lover. I promise you will never be bored again.

Good luck finding that lover soon!

Lots of love,

Top 10 things to do for Valentine’s Day

The most romantic and sexy day of the year is almost here and if you still don’t have a plan, you’ve got 10 days to figure it out. As always, I want to help you have the perfect Valentine’s Day and I’ll share with you a few tips on what you could do for this day depending on your current love situation.

Top 10 things to do for Valentine’s Day

1. If you've just started dating:
- Go to dinner and grab drinks, and if it goes well, suggest a night-cap at home. (Extra tip: Roses and wine waiting couldn't hurt)
2. If you've just said "I Love You” recently:In this case, sending flowers to her office will really flatter her. And in your case girls, a sexy surprise for your man is a great idea.

3. If you’ve been dating over a year:
Plan a getaway just for the two of you; this will ignite the spark from the honeymoon phase, guaranteed.

4. If you’re both stressed:
You don’t want to add more pressure by having to plan or commit to a big thing, the couple should come up with something together. Be proactive and give your special someone three options, like, ‘Pizza, wine and a massage’ ‘Reservations at that place you’ve been wanting to go’ or ‘Netflix and order takeout, plus a gift from me’ - and see what they want.

5. If you want to spice up your sex life:
It’s ok if you get in a rut; this is your chance to spice it up. Cook dinner together, have a bubble bath for two, champagne, chocolates, a hot oil massage, fuzzy bathrobe, cuddle up by the fireplace, sexy music and a little teasing touching to make the evening a boiling pot for a crazy sexy time in bed.

6. If you’re “under the budget” newlyweds:
Make it a weekend to remember your wedding! Bring out those wedding photos, pick up a cake like to the one you had at your reception, buy similar flowers and grab a nice bottle of champagne, write a loving card about your first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, recreate your vows. Make it the most romantic day ever!

7. If you’re going through a rough patch:
A good idea is to remind each other why you want to be together. Take the time to write a love letter to your special someone. Go to one of your favorite places, have a drink together afterwards and give them what you wrote. Maybe you’ll break away some of the things that are keeping you apart, and open up the dialogue to get your relationship or marriage back on track.

8. If you are recently single:
Then you need to grab your friends and get away from all the hearts, flowers and chocolates on the streets. Go hiking, camping, take a trip. Getting your mind off of romance will be great and physical activity combined with good friends will be just what the doctor ordered.

9. If you are not really into Valentine’s Day:
If either you or your partner is not really into celebrating this holiday, you could still plan a great day together and have a wonderful date. I suggest trying something none of you have ever done before, maybe rock climbing or bungee jumping.

10. If you’ve forgotten and it’s last minute:
You could always show up at their workplace with flowers and chocolates, get them a gift card to their favorite spa. Cook dinner and make it a romantic night at home. Don’t forget to pick up the champagne!

But if you really want to make this day perfect, top any of these ideas with one of our packages and not only will you be rewarded for your efforts, it will be an unforgettable Valentine’s Day. I promise!

7 Ways To Reboot Your Body

We want to make this the healthiest year yet and last week we covered detoxing tips for the skin and how regular peels are key to having the skin we dream of, so today, I want to talk to you about your body and how to reboot for a smoking hot 2015.

We often read about diets, miracle detox plans and rush weight loss programs but the reality is we need to keep our health as a priority; remember, health is beauty. Honoring this principle I’m sharing with you some of the things I do in order to reboot my body and my system and staying slim, healthy and energized.

  1. Make Smoothies: My nutritionist always reminds me about my daily fruit and vegetable intake but I juggle a lot everyday: clients, staff, patients, kids, friends, lovers, training and meetings... I don’t have a lot of time. My best bet is to take part of my fruits and vegetables of the day and turn them into smoothies, sometimes with a shot of protein in them and I’m ready to go.

  2. Take Time to De-Stress: Plan your body care “to the T”. Take time to book your monthly treatments, whether it’s a deep tissue massage, a body scrub, a bikini wax, lipo-melt, etc and keep it. Include every day at home pampering too, don’t skip your daily moisturizing and sunscreen rituals.

  3. Eat at home: Pick a time to cook your weekly meals if you take your lunch to work with you, you can also get a head start on sides and partially cooked foods to keep in the fridge and prepare quick dinners for those late nights and have a few snack bags ready to go for the everyday run out the door.

  4. Eat fresh: Eat whole foods, fresh foods, natural and organic foods. These will always be better for your body.

  5. Exercise: At least 25 min a day. Run, jump, hike or walk around the block. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, carry the grocery bags or your purse and lift them like weights. Walk while you talk on the phone to your loved one, squat while you watch the news at night. There are no excuses.

  6. Stick to the plan: Have a plan and stick to it. If you cheat on your wellness path you are only cheating on yourself. Love and respect yourself enough to keep up the good work.

  7. Be smart: I always have my favorite dietician an wellness coach on call, I follow them on social media, keep up with them on the web, read their blogs. There is so much information out there and you can’t believe everything so I always go to the best source I know, ask questions and really learn what works for me; it’s important to remember everyone is different and has special needs, goals and circumstances. If you are looking for help, I recommend Catherine Kruppa and her team from www.adviceforeating.com. They are absolutely amazing and they are right here in Houston across the street from us. They can help you achieve your goals by yourself or with your family. They can even take you on a Supermarket Tour where you will learn how to make the best choices in the store. You definitely have to check them out, and while you’re there, tell them Escarle from Alira sent you. You won’t regret it.
I hope these tips can help you get on track. This is your year.

Lots of love,
