Through the past days we’ve collected a few beauty questions from our fans in our Facebook fan page, that’s why we’ve decided to answer them right here in our blog. Are you ready?

Q:  How often should I get a facial to maintain my skin in perfect shape?

A: You should book a professional facial about every three to four weeks, that’s how long it takes your skin to move through the full life cycle of skin cell growth and exfoliation. A facial helps that process along. The treatment will keep your skin clean, clear and toned, plus having one every three to four weeks helps you maintain that beautiful glow all month long.

Q: How can I keep my feet baby smooth if I wear flip flops or primarily open shoes daily?

A: The best way to keep your feet smooth is with the help of a great exfoliator. Have you heard of our Jentry Kelly exfoliating cream? We’re sure you’ll love the way it smells and gently softens your skin. After you’ve exfoliated your feet, apply a nourishing moisturizer and put on a pair of socks, so your skin can absorb the moisture much better.

Q: How can I get rid of black spots on my face?

A: Black spots can be tricky, the first thing you want to do is have them checked by a dermatologist.  You could also come to the spa and get  a customized treatment plan from our esthetician in a personal consulting session, there are many facial treatments at our spa that can help you achieve your skin goals.

However, if you’re looking for a home remedy for your condition, give buttermilk a try! Buttermilk contains lactic acid that helps exfoliate the skin to remove blemishes and brown spots without drying out your skin. Apply buttermilk on your brown spots using a cotton ball. Leave it on for a few minutes before washing the area with water. If you have oily skin or acne, you can also add some lemon juice to the buttermilk.

Q: Can you give me any tips to help me reduce the dark circles under my eyes?

A: There are many reasons behind the appearance of dark circles. The main reasons behind dark circles under the eyes are genetics, age, or seasonal allergies.

If your circles are the result of vascular issues, you should double up on pillows at night to stop blood from building up under your eyes. For allergy-induced circles, consider taking an over-the-counter antihistamine before allergies begin to abate shadows. And finally , if thin skin is the issue, use a collagen-building cream. A flash and a bang.

It seems like it was yesterday when we first opened our doors, welcoming all of you into our spa and our lives, and my, how fast has time gone by!

Just thinking about how our Alira Family has evolved through the years is quite similar to watching a toddler grow up! Who's ready for a makeover?

Makeup is an essential part of every woman’s look, and for  some, no matter how many times they read about it online or how many tutorials they have in their youtube playlist, getting the perfect makeup look is impossible.

Fear not! Here in Alira we’ve given this topic a lot of thought, that’s why as a part of our Anniversary month and with the help of the lovely people from Jentry Kelley, we’ve arranged a few makeup lessons for all of our loyal customers on October 8th.

Normally, the makeup lessons offered by Jentry Kelley have a price of $100, but since its our Anniversary month, we’ve decided to give them to our customers free of charge! Just remember to give us a call or ask our staff to sign you up.

It's a celebration!

October marks our second anniversary and to celebrate it, we’ve prepared a lot of great activities for our lovely Alira Community. That’s why we’ve decided to start the party early and start unveiling our surprises right away!

To start things with a bang, get ready to restock on all your favorites because we’re chopping off 20% on all of our retail products! This first treat is only valid from October 1^st to October 2^nd, so hurry up and get them while it lasts.

Our second surprise of the month is the fabulous one hour makeup classes that the lovely folks from Jentry Kelley are giving at our spa on October 8th. Normally, this classes have a price of $100, but for our Anniversary we’re giving them to our customers free of charge! Just remember to ask our staff to sign you up for any of them.

Last, but not least, don’t forget we’re contributing to breast cancer awareness month with our pampering sessions for all patients and survivors.
