Here in Alira we believe that giving back never goes out of style, so when our lovely client Marian Sabat told us that
she wanted to make a donation to Locks of Love, we couldn't be happier to be a
part of such an event.
Marian, prior to her haircut.
For those who don’t know, Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially
disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering
from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis by utilizing donated ponytails to provide hair prosthetics.
Seeing as Marian's hair is very healthy, the procedure was quite easy: We gave it a quick wash and then braided it until we achieved the 10 inch braid that is required by Locks of Love.
After everything was said and done, both Marian and I were completely ecstatic over another Alira Transformation that would help little kids in need.
Want to make a donation to Locks of Love? Visit their site, check out their guidelines for acceptable hair donations and then give us a call to book your appointment! We’re more than happy to help and support such a great cause.
Lots of love,
